Romney-Ryan: that’s the ticket!

Paul Ryan from Wisconsin has been picked as Mitt Romney's running mate.  The choice is bold and that will appeal to tea party-ers and may even turn Wisconsin, part of the blue wall, into a red state.  Having said that, the choice is also risky:  Ryan's budget proposal which Romney is on record supporting, is likely to alienate voters with its cuts to social security, medicare and the likelihood that more Americans will be without health insurance in key battleground states like Florida.  Politico does a nice job of breaking down Ryan's medicare plan here.
