Climate Change Is Already Ruining Everything
Everything is terrible. Your allergies are killing you this year. It hasn’t stopped raining in weeks. Winter never wanted to end and now all of a sudden it’s SUMMER? Where did Spring go??
You can blame Obama all you want, but the culprit couldn’t be any clearer: Global warming is ruining all of our lives. And it's official.
If you’ve been noticing any dramatic changes in the weather lately — or in your body’s reaction to said weather — it’s because the we’ve hated on the environment long enough that the Mother Earth is finally starting to hate on us in a very serious way. In the same way that illness can come on gradually, then suddenly, all of the symptoms of climate change are now starting to rear their ugly heads.
Rising Seas Ahead
The National Climate Assessment predicts sea levels will rise 1 to 4 feet over the next century.
The National Climate Assessment delineates the effects of climate change as something that’s quickly turning, to quote the Associated Press, “America the beautiful into America the stormy, sneezy and dangerous." The biggest problem with climate change is that it’s brought about wild and unpredictable weather patterns which in turn lead to wild and unpredictable natural disasters. Extreme weather — droughts, floods, storms, and heat waves, for example — Are the most noticeable aspects of the change. Since 2010, 43 of the lower 48 states have reported setting at least one monthly record for heat. The report also predicts the sea level will rise between 1 and 4 feet over the next hundred years.
Allergy Explosion
Warmer weather boosts pollen production, worsening seasonal allergies and sinus issues for millions.
And all of these threats are bad for human health. The smoke caused by wildfire, smog caused by pollution, and diseases from “tainted water,” mosquitoes and ticks, are affecting us. Wonder why you’ve been feeling like a sinus disease-ridden disaster this year? You can blame the rise in pollen due to warmer weather for that one. Every time you sneeze, feel free to curse every piece of plastic you tossed in the trash instead of the recycling bin.

Climate change isn’t a joke, y’all. If you need us, we’ll be in a dark, cool basement somewhere sipping on icy drinks while we wait for this whole thing to pass.
