International Home + Housewares Show
We're in Chicago! Not only are we there for the Gino's deepdish, we are also attending the International Home + Housewares Show. With over 2,000 vendors and thousands of visitors, this year's show is sure to please! Follow along as we share some of our favorite finds.
We stopped by the Bradley Smoker exhibit and were really impressed! We saw the Bradley Smart Smoker which is controllable via a Bluetooth enabled device; it will keep you posted during those dominos games. And talk about super large capacity, this bad boy holds TEN racks of food! The Bradley Smart Smoker will be available in May of this year.

Ahhh sweets!! Better yet, sweets for ADULTS! Wilton, the leading food crafting company in the industry, has a pretty amazing exhibit at the House + Housewares show in Chicago. Look at these delicious cupcakes for grown-ups! Infuse your favorite liquor into the cupcakes for a tasty and more grown-up treat. There is a lot of color at the show, but Wilton uses it most extensively by far! You don't have to be a professional baker to achieve these beautiful "works of art", Wilton not only carries the accessories needed to create, they also provide the education you need to become that professional baker you always wanted to be!

Wilton is moving beyond standard birthday cakes with a focus on "adult" treats. Their new system allows home bakers to easily infuse their favorite spirits into cupcakes.
Le Creuset is a 2016 finalist for global innovation cook and bakeware, so we had to pay them a visit to see what all the fuss is about. We fell in love with their yellow combination marinade and porting trays for steaks on the BBQ! We love the vibrant colors they use in their products.They have something for every type of cook out there!

We visited Nordic Ware and something caught our eye. Those gold colored molds are everything!! Turns out Nordic Ware is celebrating their 70th year and they are celebrating with these beautiful gold molds. That skull mold also caught our eye and we imagined a really neat treat for Halloween or even Dia de los Muertos!
We can stand and watch the cake decorating demo all day.

Hand-crafted in the USA, these are not your standard cotton aprons. Using luxury fabrics and fashion-forward silhouettes, they are designed for the host who wants to stay protected while looking as elegant as their dinner guests.
The indoor/outdoor work surfaces caught our eye pretty quicky. They're so beautifully made! The outdoor stations are made of acaccia wood from Vietnam, while the indoor stations are made from rubberwood. They have a really neat "Chop & Drop" design that allows you to literally chop and then drop the waste! There is also a built-in juice groove on the cutting surface to collect & direct to the "Pig Snout" ... which is another cutout in the surface. There's just so much awesomeness built into these station.

How gorgeous are these serving ware?! Elleffe Design, Italian manufacturer of home decor & housewares, is launching in North America ... and we're pretty excited about that! Everything is made of stainless steel in a little village in Milan and has been sold all over Asia, Europe and the Middle East. These are not your typical servingware, so much thought has gone into the design of these pieces, they're like works of art ... for your crab cakes. We are definitely impressed!
