PokemonGO Has Taken Over

Pokemongo

PokemonGO is the augmented reality mobile phone game that has taken the world by storm! As if people wandering aimlessly with their nose in their phones wasn’t already an issue, PokemonGO is making it worse. As I took my daily stroll yesterday with baby stroller in hand, I noticed something different. There were people outside. Ok so normally there will be a soccer team practicing in the soccer field, or a mom pushing her child in a swing … sometimes an occasional jogger or two will pass by and smile but there was something eerie about the extra people in the mix. There were kids and adults walking around in groups, some were solo, but every single person was using their phone to navigate through the park, and then it hit me. These people are here to CATCH ALL THE POKEMONS! I had heard of PokemonGO in the news, social media, and even from friends who were chatting about it. To see its effects on my fellow humans was interesting and creepy. People are slaves to this game. First off, it makes you go outside and walk around looking for these imaginary creatures (Pokemons), at which point you must throw Pokeballs to capture them. Once said Pokemons are captured, you continue walking around to find more. This game gets people to walk around to places they wouldn’t normally wander to, like the police station. Pokestops (locations where you can gather items like Pokeballs, eggs, and potions) are being placed all over the place, seriously, everywhere. They’ve been found in some really strange places, too, like strip clubs, people's homes, and even your local cemetery.

So with all the rage about PokemonGO, it’s important to play safely. Here are some trending PokemonGO tweets:
